Monster Island, The Asylum’s mockbuster for 2019, was released in the same time frame as Godzilla King of the Monsters. It's about an island, Monster Island, where a monster lives.


Asylum has the budget to feed a lot of kids. They use it wisely by focusing on just a few human characters while keeping their big stars in one place where all their sequences are recorded during (Monster Island by Decker Shado) lunch. The Asylum could be a good fit for this kaiju type.
